About Me
Greetings. I am located in Atlanta, GA, but I also serve the surrounding areas of GA; as well as within the Bay Area and Los Angeles area. Thomecia aka MiMi is a full spectrum holistic doula and reproductive justice advocate. Full-time nanny turned into birth worker, no biological kids yet! Originally from Oakland, CA, she graduated from Fisk University with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. After ten years of servicing the community, she is now a Workforce Development Manager for Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies Coalition of GA. Cultivating a workforce for perinatal professionals that builds longevity and equity for community birth workers. She has a goal of seeing doulas working alongside hospital staff as an equal on the birth team, and hopes to create initiatives that will support Black maternal & infant health education within the college and high school curriculum. As a holistic birth worker, she specializes in fertility support, prenatal care, labor support, and postpartum care. She also offers healing through herbal medicine, energy cleansing as well as therapeutic dance and mindful movement. She strives to empower and support Black and brown families through kindness and genuine love.
As an avid advocate for mental health, wellness, and anything that adds peace in life I believe Higher Healing is truly doing restorative work throughout the country. Thomecia has furthered my understanding about natural remedies, herbal teas (that were AMAZING btw) and last but not least, sound healing + meditation. She led an outdoor sound meditation recently and I was moved by it ever since. I look forward to experiencing another awakening experience like that in the near future! I would definitely recommend!
